#tellyourownstory In 1899 Alexander Henry designed the first electric powered street lamps in Paris, Francis. He was assisted by Nikola Tesla, a then senior mechanical  engineering student at the Paris Institute of Lumination. Tesla was also commissioned to design buttons reflecting the lamp glow for all board members to wear to the opening event.
